Nuclear Idaho

Going west from the Tetons we reached the desert in southern Idaho.
Though it looks pretty empty it surprises with some unusual and hidden
features, like the 'Lost River' which sinks underground to form a
subterrean water reservoir the volume of Lake Erie and reemerges 100
miles later as a normal river; and the Idaho National Laboratory, a
nuclear research area where over the years 50 reactors were build,
icluding the first ever, which powered the nearby city of Arco - the
first city to by lit by nuclear power.

Quiten a strange and sublime place.
